Where are the ingredients sourced from?
We source ingredients from North America and Europe whenever possible and only use the highest quality plant-based food that has been certified USDA Organic. Many of the ingredients are native to South America or Asia and are best grown there. Others are seasonal and better quality ingredients can be found in other parts of the world depending on the time of year.
Where is this product made?
All of Ora Organic’s products (including this one) are made in Southern California, USA in USDA Organic certified facilities.
Can I take this product while breastfeeding?
All of our products are made from 100% real food ingredients and are entirely plant-based. Many of our customers are moms who are still breastfeeding and they love our pre-workout!
We’ve included Ashwagandha in our mix which is beneficial for your adrenal system. This adaptogenic herb has been traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine to encourage natural lactation and therefore may actually support you in your breastfeeding. However, it is a personal preference to determine the amount of caffeine that works for you and your child.
As always, if you feel any concern we encourage you to consult your healthcare professional before incorporating a new supplement into your diet.
Is this pre-workout safe for pregnancy?
While our pre-workout is made with 100% natural, plant-based ingredients it does contain caffeine and adaptogenic herbs. Therefore we recommend taking it only after consulting with your healthcare professional.
With a modest 90mg of caffeine per serving, you are likely to be just fine but this depends also on how much caffeine you may be consuming during other parts of the day. It is recommended that, during pregnancy, women consume no more than 200mg of caffeine daily.
Additionally, our pre-workout contains Ashwagandha. While this herb is great for adrenal support there are studies that suggest it not be taken in large doses once pregnancy is achieved. The dose in our pre-workout is minimal but we would encourage you to consult with your healthcare provider nonetheless.
Can children take this pre-workout?
While our pre-workout contains 90 mg of caffeine per serving, the maximum recommended intake for children is 45 mg. We would advise against giving this product to children (they already have ALL the energy at 6am!).
